With the league already announcing the regular season individual award winners, let’s take a look at some other impressive records and milestones from this season.
Before that, here’s a recap of this season’s award winners:-
MVP: Jordan Tolbert (Penang Sunrise Youngsters)
Local MVP: Ting Chun Hong (NS Matrix Deers)
Top Scorer: Jordan Tolbert (Penang Sunrise Youngsters) – 22.4 PPG
Top Rebounder: Anthony Moe (KL Aseel) – 16.2 RPG
Top Assists: Heng Yee Tong (Johor Southern Tigers) – 6.7 APG
Top Steals: Arinze Chidom (Johor Southern Tigers) – 3.8 SPG
Top Blocks: Arinze Chidom (Johor Southern Tigers) – 2.4 BPG
Special mention must go to Heng Yee Tong as the only player to lead categories in back to back seasons with the Johor Southern Tigers guard earning the top steals award in 2022.

Notable Points
- We saw new record highs for most steals and assists in a game this season. (Note, Jeff Viernes had 12 assists last season, but it was a playoffs game)
- We still await the first ever triple double game. The closest to achieving it this season was Heng Yee Tong ( 25 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists) and Arinze Chidom (24 points, 13 rebounds and 9 steals) against NS Matrix Deers on 8/12/23.
- There were landmark achievements this season for Ting Chun Hong (first player with at least 500 Points, 200 rebounds and 100 assists), Heng Yee Tong (first to log 100 career assists) and Moses Morgan (first to score 500 points).
